This forum and the Yahoo group have been silent for some time.  Is anyone still trying to work on this?  

I have VoIP phones to use/trade for other gear  They only use 5vdc at 1.5 amp +-  New/Old Stock.  Thought I might see someone at TOTR hamfest doing a demo.  Did meet up with KG4VUB but he said he had not worked on it in some time.


I have access to a high spot in the Vinings area looking north and maybe a spot on the same building looking towards Stone Mtn.  Who wants to do some testing at placing a backbone link or two up?

Hi "neighbor". I travel to Vinings for work quite often (but dont bring a node with me usually). ;-(

I'm off Overlook Pkwy.

If you are not doing anything on the 13th of January 2015 (Tuesday) and don't mind the drive time, come out to Carrollton and see a demonstration of the new video link. If you have a 2.4Ghz node flashed with the latest firmware (v3.0), bring it with you and participate!

Meeting address is the Ryan's Steak House on Hwy 61 just north of the city of Carrollton. Hwy 61 is exit 24 on Interstate 20. Starting time is 7 pm.

Dahua IPC-HFW4300S. Amazon.com sells them. It is an active POE (48V) and requires an active POE injector. I have it connected to a Linksys 54GL router running BBHN firmware v3.0 I have the camera set to it's lowest resolution of 1280x720. The camera can go much higher in resolution, but the trade-off is the streaming bandwidth through the mesh. The low resolution runs around 400-500 Kilobits per second for a live video feed. If you are in the Atlanta area and can spare an evening, come on out and see a live demonstration.
