By default, the forum system sets me to "subscribe" whenever I post.

There's a "no" subscribe option when I post, but I seem to get subscribed even if I check that.

Then I have to go back and manually unsubscribe if I don't want to be subscribed. 

Then it e-mails me a confirmation that I've been unsubscribed.

I don't want e-mail, I'll look at the forum when I want to read it. 

Is there some way to avoid subscribing by default?
