Subject :Can I flash the original Linksys firmware back in after installing Meshnode
Sorry if this question was asked before. I am quit a Noob regaring firmware flashing so all the stuff on this forum is a bit hard to follow.. I once flashed a few Linksys WRT54GL V 1.1 modems to use them as a Mesh node. Unfortunately the 2.4 GHz network is so occupied that it wasn't possible to make the disired connections. The project moved to the dark attic. Now I like to restore the old firmware of the routers and afther that I would like to flash a version of DD-WRT into it. I want to use them as an repeater during some camping time. This is what I have now. A Linksys modem type WRT54GL version 1.1 responding to HTTP://localnode:8080/ and comming up with the login and mesh node screen. I can select the admin part and then let the modem look voor the BIN file. This he doesn't read. It's the last updated firmware file version 6.0 downloaded from the Linksys site. Is it possible to flash the Original firmware back in? and how is it done? hopefully somone can help me out.
