I'm just getting started and need help. I have loaded the mesh firmware on my wrt54gs v1.1. It shows  up as broadbandhamnet-v1 on my wifi list under devices (mac os x mavericks). If I select it and try http://localnode:8080/ I get 'no network'. Help?

Thanks,

Tom

I sort of answered my own question. I turned wifi off and used a cable, and can now get http://localnode:8080/cgi-bin/status to work. However, when I try setup, it asks for name and password. I don't know if I changed it or what but I don't know the name and password Is there a way to reset?? I tried the button but still have the same problem. Ideas? Tom

Reinstall firmware using tftp - scroll down to "installing firmware with tftp."

I'm not part of the development team, so take what I say with a grain of salt. I'm also easily confused.

Check out the free Wireless Networking Book

Thanks! That worked. Unfortunately, now I can't connect to the router anymore (with localnode:8080). I've tried with wifi off and with wifi on BroadbandHamnet-v1. I get no network from the browser. Suggestions? Thanks, Tom

Use an Ethernet cable and restart your computer and router
