I can't seem to find what the differences are in the Bullet M2 vs the Bullet 2 other than the Bullet M2 is Airmax Compatible and supports 802.11 b g and n mode.

The bullet M2 has the Atheros Mips 24kc @400mhz with 32Mb of Sdram and 8Mb of flash memory.

The bullet 2 has Atheros MIPS 4KC, @180MHz with only 16MB SDRAM, 4MB Flash.

So the question is will the firmware for the M2 run on the 2 as well? Or is it to large of a program

and won't fit into the 4mb of flash?

Our currently build require  the node to have 32mb ram 8mb flash.

At the moment we just exceed the flash limits and ram limits on the older node requiring us to mark those older units with 16/4 as unsupported.

A large part(most) of this is from upstream at OpenWRT resource requirements and the design programs have tended to get bigger and the build is based on the newer versions to ensure hardware support is better.

I saw some posts and noticed there is some activit on GIT for the picostation2 HP. Someone said they are like the bullets with only some differences. Is this going to be supported no the M version but just the Picostation 2. Thanks, Peter

Some information about the older Picostations was put into the system.

However support for them wont be known until testers come forward to actually test them.

The old PicoStations do appear have enough ram/flash on first glance, but they may also use a different  cpu which we have not been producing firmware for yet (however it may be possible to produce firmware for them)    Whenever a new device comes up it needs to be tested, and that means users with hardware willing to load untested firmware on the device and work with the dev team to make it a supported device.

Never a guarantee anything will work until it has been tested for real, only probabilities and hunches.

First be sure you are able to connect to the BBHN GUI. If you can, then there's no reason you shouldn't be able to SSH in. Remember that SSH is on port 2222 (not the well-known port 22). Andre, K6AH
