Tunnel Server router port forwarding
Hi there, I have 2 Ubiquiti devices. One setup as a tunnel server, the other as a tunnel client. They are setup with DtD linking with Vlans and a WAN connection. What IP do I need to forward to on my WAN router for port 5525?

Has anyone used on of these on the mesh? You can pick them up on EBAY for about $30.
I am trying to set it up serverless, but it insists on registering. It accepts direct IP calls but won't dial one without registering. I was able to telnet into the box and have the password for the root, but haven't found a way to bypass the register. Any suggestions? JJ

3.1.0 squashfs.bin file needed for WRT54GL
Hi, I am trying to find a 3.1.0 firmware upgrade / squashfs.bin file for a WRT54GL router to convert it over for Amateur use. The latest upgrade is not in the repository and the software download link is down for a while after the new server upgrade. If anyone has one they could email to me, I would appreciate it. rlmcgill(at)suddenlink(dot)net Randy/N7WWA

Status here in Hawaii
Hi Everyone, Been keeping up with BBHN over the last couple and recently connected my network to the world-wide BBHN Tunnel Network. Since we have lots a sun, I decided to power all of my BBHN devices with solar energy, 24/7. basically, I have a 1kw 12v battery system fed by a charge controller and 400w of solar panel. On the network I have: 1) A HD web camera up on my tower pointed at Waikiki below me. My QTH altitude is 800 feet (240 mtrs). and approximately 3 miles (4800mtrs) from Waikiki. When connecting to web cam, please logon with username=guest and pw=guest. 2) Weather station web site. You can see the station in the web cam. 3) AllStar node which connects to other Hawaii and world-wide AllStar nodes to interconnect Hawaiian users from around the world. This node ties into the Hawaiian AllStar Network for local BHNN users. 4) HamChat, web server are still in the works.... Future intent is to put up a point-to-point link from my QTH to a site in Waikiki, to accommodate users who can see this sight. Some points could be as far away as 20+ miles away. So, this is what I have going on in Honolulu Hawaii. Please come by 73 de kh6tz wayne |

Changing Call ID
I was helping a friend flash a router for BBHN and I put the wrong call sign in. I went back in the admin privileges and corrected it however when other nodes look at this node, they see it as "callsign-ls1/wrong callsign" How do I get rid of the "/wrong callsign". I have some hesitation as I bricked a node recently.

Unable to locate HTTP server message on Cisco 7940 phone
Maybe try opening port 80 for the PI on the router. However you don't need this for the phone to function, it is used when you want to replace the graphics the phone uses(such as the Cisco name and logo) and some other (rarely used) features. If you take out the entry for http server in the config it should stop showing the error. If you are replacing the logos I would love to hear about it. Let me know if this works for you. KE8AVJ |

Okay, Well I am unable to edit my post above. I had a formatting issue.
I have a home router in which various devices/servers/PCs are connected to. I would not think so, but would adding a Mesh Node to a port in my home router allow access to any of my home network resources? |

Does this internet gateway functionality also give the Mesh Network access to the resources on your home network? Or does it just allow Internet access? Might be something to consider as far as security. I want to hook up one of my nodes to share my internet access but I don't want anyone on the mesh network to be able to potentially have access to my media server for example.
Home Router <--ethernet--> (Mesh Node A) <--RF--> Mesh Network
<--ethernet--> (Personal Computer)
<--ethernet--> (Network Attached Storage)
<--ethernet--> (Xbox)
etc, etc. |

3.1.0 no route to internet
I finally dug deep enough into my cable modem/router and found the settings necessary to allow the MESH through to the interwebs.
It took a while, but once I found it (Under custom firewall) everything worked just slicker than ever, even the tunneling. |
